Alternate Energy Inc. (AEI) is honored to receive the 1st place award for Hawaii’s Best Solar Company two years in a row!

Each year the Honolulu Star-Advertiser carries out a survey encouraging the community to vote for their favorite everything in Hawaii, covering food trucks to fitness and all things in-between. Once votes have been tallied and the winners decided, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser recognizes “Hawaii’s Best”--as determined by you, the people.

In 2014 Alternate Energy won 2nd place for Best Solar Company and the following year moved up to 1st place in the same category. Additionally, in 2015, AEI’s Sales Representative, Radford Nakamura, won 1st place for Hawaii’s Best Solar Sales Consultant.

Founded in 1993 by the Ekimura family, Alternate Energy Inc. has been growing slowly and steadily for more than 20 years, becoming a frontrunner in Hawaii’s renewable energy revolution. Today, Alternate Energy has expanded into a full-service energy efficiency contractor, offering Mitsubishi HVAC sales and installation, licensed electrical contracting, solar water heating, solar attic fans, electric vehicle charging and of course photovoltaic sales and installation.

As always, AEI remains committed to helping local families and businesses discover the clean, green, money-saving power of the sun.
