AEI Donates $10,000 to Kapiolani Medical Center's Radiothon!

**AEI Volunteers at Kapiōlani Radiothon** In November 2023, Alternate Energy Hawaii team members spent two full days at the Kapiōlani Medical Center for Women & Children's annual Radiothon for Kids. They answered phones, spoke with listeners and encouraged donations to support Hawaii's only full‑service children’s hospital. **Making a Bigger Impact Through Matching Donations** To amplify the community's generosity, AEI also donated $10,000 during the event. Thanks to UHA Health's commitment to match calls, that pledge quickly grew to $30,000. Every call taken by AEI employees helped unlock additional funds for the hospital. **Record‑Breaking Results** This year’s Radiothon was the most successful ever. With support from Alternate Energy and thousands of donors across O’ahu, the fundraiser collected a record‑breaking $820,130.23. 100% of the money stays at Kapiōlani Medical Center to purchase life‑saving equipment, train staff and expand the children’s cancer department. **Why It Matters** Kapiōlani Medical Center treats keiki from every island, regardless of a family's ability to pay.
