Introducing Solar Storage Solutions

Solar Storage Solutions are a combination of home battery technology and Panasonic Electric solar panels that allow you to capture excess power, store it onsite, and have it delivered when you need it most. All without exporting excess unused energy to HECO's to the grid. Utilizing the TESLA Powerwall, Generac PWRcell, or LG Chem RESU Solar Storage systems with Panasonic Electric solar panels, consumers can now optimize their energy savings. They have the security of emergency backup power and the option to not export to HECO's grid.

TESLA Powerwall

  • Time-of-use (TOU) and zero-export ready
  • Zero-export: when your PV system produces more than you need, the rest is stored when you need it.

Panasonic HIT and EverVolt Solar Panels

  • 25-year manufacturer's performance, parts, and labor warranty.
  • Advanced bifacial cell designed for increased energy output.
  • HIT “N-type” cells result in extremely Low Light Induced Degradation (LID) and zero Potential Induced Degradation (PID) which supports reliability and longevity.

Customers who purchase a PV Storage system can now take advantage of the new NEM+ or Self Supply programs offered by the Hawaiian Electric Companies (HECo) on Oahu and Maui. The program allows residential and commercial PV customers to store all of their excess energy for later use.

How It Works

  1. Self-Consumption / Zero Export: If the site is generating more solar power than it needs, the excess power is stored for later use.
  2. Back-Up Power: When the grid goes down and power is out, the system provides back-up power supply to your site.
  3. Bill Savings: When electricity usage is high and solar power is not readily available, for example at night, the system uses both solar and stored energy to reduce your consumption from the grid.
